Whoa! Nice panning, man.

I'm curious, this says video game song, so...is this an original? Or a remix? In any case, you definitely have a good idea what you're doing, that panning that comes in around 0:20 is quite awesome. Definitely keeps the listener interested, and I think that adds a whole new experience to it. My only problem is that...(like with many other songs at NG) it is too short. But for what's there, and what's happening in the 1:16 that's presented....I can totally dig it. :)

I wish I could remember where I heard the original tune at. It was some weird Japanese game i had played a few months ago, you could classify this as a remix. Thanks a ton for your review!

Edit: I had learned a lot about panning control from a friend of mine 1 or 2 months back. I failed pretty hard with my song Juggernaut of War trying to pan 2 different sounds out of both speakers, and the overall sound wasn't as i had expected. I might try and fix it up in the near future!

Needs more cowbell. I kid, I kid.

What I really am trying to say, is that this is a pretty slick groove, you've got a good idea (and sense of direction) where you wanted to take this piece. So, the only thing I recommend is to fill up the spectrum a bit...add a deep bassline and possibly layer some more drums. This is a cool starting point, but, I think you could make it way better.

Good luck man. :)

Corbino responds:

Yea I was just layin this out for a buddy, just needed somewhere to upload it lol.
All the heavy basslines were trash synths so I gotta deal until I find better ones.

Ambience.

This really doesn't include much "musically" speaking, but...I can totally picture this as some intro to some form of media. The clanking pipes, the overall low frequencies being presented...it's pretty cool and while there really isn't much here...it's impressive how much I got just out of a 33 sec. clip. Nice work. :)

Wite-Wulf responds:

Ikr, it would be good for a zombie game ;D I actually made this wile trying to make a AYB song >.< thanks for the rating and review

Very cool.

The intro was a bit weak, can't say I was a fan until 0:15 came around...that was cool. The sounds are a bit on the generic, you might want to tweak those a bit. I'm not sure exactly what wave type you are using (sine, square, etc.) but...if you could maybe change that synth to automate from a low pass to more of a band pass...I think it would keep the listener a bit more interested. Very cool so far man, look forward to hearing what you come up with in the future. :)

X-Dream responds:

Might be a lil weak yeah. I'll fix it up in my updated version.
You mean for my pad work? I used a sine and phase wave. I'll try to make it more band pass as it progresses, it's an great idea!

Be on the look out! :D

Diggin' that Dragonite Clip, totally worth it.

Well, here's my thoughts...

The beginning was a bit harsh, I would suggest some lower frequencies...it was just a bit hard on the ears, the melody is cool, I like the instruments you chose...my only problem is the drums. They are a bit too loud, so, maybe automate the volume knobs a bit (depending on whatever digital audio workstation you're using). Also, I think you should variate the drums a bit, just switch them a bit or add more layers just to make the song (overall) more interesting. Good work man, keep it up. :)

Dachampster responds:

Try turning the volume down, I'm not having a problem here.
As for the drums, the song has a tempo of 95. Most of my intense battle beats sound crappy at a tempo this low. I was limited to Breakbeat and Downtempo, they were the only drums that were fast enough to be able to adapt without taking that much damage. Yeah, I felt lazy not switching up the beats, but I dont think theyre too loud, because when I first imported it it was waaaaay to soft. If you take a listen to my other remixes, you can tell that usually I change the drum beats nearly every other measure ^_^"

Rock Dance!

This is cool, but it needs a lot of work. I like what you did with it so far...but, I'm just wondering here (and don't feel obligated to answer) but, is that an FM8 preset as the lead? Even if not, I like how you used it, but, I feel like...even with that there should be a bit more chord progression. That would sound awesome. Good work man. :)

FIN-MASTER responds:

Btw i'm quite new with FL Studio 9. But ty for your time... Btw I used many music layers... Can't you hear?

You on the trumpet?

I can't tell whether that trumpet is real or not...still, very cool. Very chill...I do like the...rhodes piano? The instruments kinda mesh together, in a really good way. I'd be interested to know how you created this piece, digital audio workstation? Or was it all acoustic recording? In any case, like my last review about your stuff, this is cool.

Maverlyn responds:

Magix music maker premium 15 (downloaded version) with some tracks from version 14..

and no.. it's not me on the trumpet :P the only instrument i play is the kazoo

First impression? "Zuma"

Very ethinc sounding, good use of instruments. I totally can dig this and while it's a tad on the short side, there's a lot of stuff happening. Even with that said, this could totally progress into some more interesting. It's mellow, relaxing, with almost a feel like you're in a jungle. Good work, my friend. :)

Maverlyn responds:

Thanks a bunch :) i'll see if i get around to making it more of a public track.

as of now it's just made for one person.

Interesting

You've got a nice level of frequencies going, it definitely covers the spectrum, or...this is more on the low side of things, but...you probably already know that. In any case, this is a very different mix from I normally here. It really does have more of a dubstep feel to it, which is never bad. I would like a bit more high frequency sounds like, just adding an appregiator would be nice, but...even without, this is cool. Nice work. :)

DjErebus responds:

Thanks for the tips. I'll try messing with it a little more, and see if I can't get some higher frequency stuff in there to even it out a little more.
I really appreciate the review, thanks a million.

This is fairly nice.

It's a bit on the short side and I have a few things to say, even though, this was just released. I've gotta say, nice selection in instruments...although that beginning instrument has a bit too much reverb (or delay?)...I honestly don't know. What would be cool though, is if you added your own solo right around 1:10. You could just keep the same bassline and work in your own arrangement. Anyway, good luck dude. This is fairly nice. :P

Blazaking responds:

Thanks for the comment!

It is a bit short, as it doesn't loop. I'll try adding that solo later. Thanks for the idea! I might extend it more, maybe put in some of the tune's other incarnations.

I'm a native of the United States, specific enough for ya? Alright, well, my personality? I'm on a never-ending quest to make whatever it is I create...to be...better (interpret that anyway you'd like). :)
